Making plans?

Planning is wise and healthy. But there is a danger in thinking that we cannot be wrong. Even the best of our intelligent calculations can err because we cannot control all the facts. The One in control of all the facts is God. He is not limited by time and space like we are. He can see what we cannot. It will be healthier to have the humility to recognize His superiority and let yourself be guided by Him.

Mortals make elaborate plans,
   but God has the last word.
2 Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good;
   God probes for what is good.
3 Put God in charge of your work,
   then what you’ve planned will take place.
4 God made everything with a place and purpose;
   even the wicked are included—but for judgment.
(Prov.16:1-4 MSG)

Prayer: You know what is good. I surrender to Your wisdom. I give You my plans. I put You in charge. Guide my life to the place and purpose You intended for me when You created me. Your destiny for me is the best destiny. I trust You.
